SOP: Sharing Access to a YouTube Channel with Perk

Objective:

To share access to a YouTube channel with a team member at Perk by adding them as a user with the appropriate permissions.

Key Steps:

1. Go to youtube.com and click on the profile icon in the upper right corner.
2. Select "YouTube Studio" from the dropdown menu.
3. Scroll down to find and click on "Settings."
4. Navigate to "Permissions" and then select "Manage Permissions."
5. Under "Users," click on "Manage Permissions" again.
6. Log in to confirm your account, following any additional verification steps if required.
7. Add the email address of the team member (e.g., seo@perc.buzz) as a new user.
8. Choose the role of "Manager" for the team member.
9. Click on "Invite" to send the invitation to the team member.

Cautionary Notes:

• Ensure that you have the correct email address of the team member to avoid inviting the wrong person.
• Double-check the role assigned to the team member to grant appropriate permissions.

Tips for Efficiency:

• Save time by copying and pasting the team member's email address to avoid any typos.
• Communicate with the team member beforehand to let them know to expect an invitation to access the channel.
